AW15: Our guide to the top trends so far this season
For a lot of people, fashion is something to use a guideline to your own personal style, especially in 2015. However, this doesn’t mean that trends are no longer what you should be looking at; just that there’s not really any need to follow them exactly. Using your individual passion and personal style, you can create something completely unique and on-trend with our help. Follow our guide to the latest trends to find out what you should be wearing.
The 70s are back
Transform yourselves back to the golden age of rock and roll and feel the nostalgia; the 70s are back in style. To continue on the theme of ‘throwback’ fashion trends, the 1970s is big this year for both autumn and winter! Chelsea boots, outlandish sweater designs and statement belts are what you should aim for.
Going greyscale
This season, one of the most popular colours is… grey! It’s all over the catwalks, shows and in the magazines. So if you’re planning an outfit, note that it’s best to pair grey with grey; teaming a range of shades together for to perfect the look. If you’re feeling bold however, you could even try greys in the same hue.
Patches and squares
Think of your outfit as a tapestry of patterns and go for something with patches and squares. These choices were abundant on the catwalks last month and proved itself to be a front runner this season. Whether it’s bold and big blocks you wear or small patches on your clothing, you’ll meet the latest trends when donning them.
Layered knits
The A/W 2015 naturally brings a lot of cold and rainy days, so one up-and-coming trend for this season is to layer your knitted attire. Not only will it keep you nice and warm on the harsh days but it’ll keep you on-trend too! Why not place a cardigan above a sweater or keep it simple with a scarf?
Faux fur-lined bomber jackets
One big aspect of this season is bomber jackets, available in a variety of designs, with fur-lined collars. Again, it’s one that takes into consideration your comfort and temperature, as well as keep you on the frontline of fashion.
Check it out
You must have noticed by now that the shops are filled to the brim with checkered shirts and jackets – even the women’s sections have them in! If you want to stay up-to-date with the latest trends, then checks are definitely the one to invest in.
