Trend Update: Block Party

This autumn/winter sees a trend for adding a splash of colour into your wardrobe and creating a style statement. If you’re looking to update your day-to-day look without a complete wardrobe make-over then colour blocking is the way to do it. You could even use items you already have and just mix and match the colours.

The best way to embrace this trend is to ‘not be afraid’. Mix eccentric colours together to create a fun and fashionable ensemble, but don’t go too overboard – we recommend mixing no more than 4 different colours per outfit.

Primary and secondary colours work best – stay away from pastel shades.

Layer up – it’s winter after all so don’t forget the chunky knits.

And don’t forget to accessorise to complete the look – funky watches, colourful socks, ties and bow ties.
