A weekend guide to Shoreditch

We are celebrating our British heritage this season by trawling through the best places to visit in Britain and giving our blog readers a short guide to where to go in each place we visit.

First up……. Shoreditch

Shoreditch is full of fabulous places to go ranging from, cool bars and restaurants to the trendy Spitalfields market. Here’s our edit of the coolest places to be whilst you’re in town:

1:  The Princess of Shoreditch

This fabulous Shoreditch pub (voted the best pub and best atmosphere in Shoreditch) is tucked away on the Shoreditch/city border, but what a find. A chic urban bar/restaurant offering a simple menu of classic British meals with all produce sourced locally. A must if you’re in town…….

2: Old Spitalfields Market

We recommend the Sunday market – it’s full of young designers and lots of vintage clothes stores. Consisting of a mixture of old style stalls and modern stores there really is something for everyone. Be sure to go early to avoid the crowds.

3: Queen of Hoxton

Young, funky loud and fun! This trendy club may not be for everyone but if you’re a party animal after a night out to remember then it’s definitely worth a visit. Fresh and imaginative with frequently changing murals and graffiti by local artists it definitely beats the dive-like appearance of many other clubs nearby. With a large bar area, and fabulous rooftop garden – it’s the place to be for a night out.
